I'm not a fan of long posts, however that's a far cry from my first blog that I started a few years ago - the first post being an absolute essay to say the least! I only got sympathy reads from a handful of family and friends and 2 blog posts later, I decided to call it a day!
..And they say 80% of blogs fail in the first 18 months – I never made it past 2 months!
So, here's round 2. A collection of my thoughts, opinions and brand highlights to compliment ‘The Pomelo Box’.
One thing though..I promise I'll keep it short.

For this first post, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about how ‘The Pomelo Box’ came to be.
Well, I love shopping.
And I love searching for unique items.
Often, lesser-known brands are overlooked by us consumers because they are less visible to us or that we do not come across them in every store we shop in. These brands usually offer a lot more than just a name - they could be experts in their craft, have values such as making a difference to the environment or being fair trade, or, they could simply be a start-up, hoping to make it.
During lockdown 2.0, I decided that I would ‘marry’ my passion for shopping and finding unique gifts to setting up ‘The Pomelo Box’. The aim being, I could share my discoveries with you whilst providing exposure to these businesses that have undoubtedly suffered in these unprecedented times.
After brainstorming names with my family, my beautiful niece suggested ‘pomelo’ and from then on it became ‘The Pomelo Box’!
So, the idea of an Artisan Lifestyle Subscription Box was born. All the items I source are from Artisans (masters of their trade), that are based here in the UK. Each box will feature a range of handcrafted items, from natural health & beauty to homeware and confectionary.
It’s a quarterly box, so you get one every 3 months. Monthly boxes are great, but the cost can add up and… all those unwanted items!
I hope that by curating specially themed items each quarter, you’ll get a range of beautiful items for yourself and your home that you’ll actually love!
